Orthodontic crimpable stops are made of stainless steel or metal. They are slots for archwires. Crimpable stop are used to fix the archwires and prevent them from sliding between brackets.
The use of crimpable stop requires the cooperation of orthodontic pliers. After placing the stop on the desired position on the archwire, use the orthodontic pliers to gently squeeze the stop ring to fix it on the archwire.
In the early stage of orthodontic treatment, the archwire is easy to slip off, causing the archwire to wear out the mouth and even puncture the gums. The role of the crimpable stop is particularly important.
