The archwire sleeve is made of soft gel or rubber. Its function is to wrap the archwire and protect the gums. It reduces the friction between the archwire and the gums or lips, improves the patient's comfort, and avoids inflammation.
Archwire sleeves are available in different models and colors to provide personalized choices. Before installing the archwire sleeve, cut the length of the sleeve, slide the archwire sleeve over the archwire, and use orthodontic pliers or tweezers to assist in the operation to ensure that the sleeve can cover any sharp parts of the archwire.
